Yi-Fang, my grandmother, married a young farmer in Taiwan. Our family has been planting pineapples for three generations, working long days to make a living. One day, Grandma Yi-Fang turned the overripe pineapples into a wonderful homemade jam. She invented the secret recipe behind our famous drink, the YiFang Fruit Tea, by adding this preserved pineapple jam to the tea she often served her husband. We named the company, and our most sought-after drink, in her honor.
With every sip, we strive to bing you the warmth and nostalgia of early-Taiwanese hospitality.We infuse each cup of tea with seasonal fruits and local ingredients, never using
concentrated juice or artificial flavours. This way, we capture the same taste and experience that YiFang created all those years ago.
YiFang serves traditional fruit tea and tapioca pearl bubble drinks made with only natural ingredients, including, for example, premium cane sugar, fresh fruit slices as well as cows and soya milk. We hand braise fruit jam with our secret recipe handed down from founder’s grandmother herself. No artificial flavours are ever added to our drinks. Our drinks are prepared in front of our customers and can be customised with your own sweetness and ice preferences.
YiFang’s signature drink “Mudflip” is our take on the popular “Bubble Milk Tea”. Every day, all our staff cook the tapioca pearls with our special brown sugar – thicker and aromatic! Customers are advised to flip their drinks to ensure that the brown sugar, pearls, milk and black tea (optional) are well-mixed. This created a wonderful mesmerising ‘mud-like effect’ similar to a lava lamp. The unusual creamy treacle-like flavour is truly unforgettable.
